I am heading on an impromptu trip to Panama in 10 days, but forgot to take into account half of my short trip will be over Easter - what sort of impact is that likely to have? I know in a lot of Latin American countries, things sort of shut down on religious holidays. Will museums and tours still be open/running?

Thursday and Friday of semana santa (this year falling on 05/06 April), almost everything "normal" shuts down -- government, banks, businesses. Tourist areas not affected but even in downtown PTY some of the restaurants will close one or both days.

If you plan on being at the beach, expect LOTS of company!
