Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - Turkish Airlines apparently cancelled our ebookers reservation

Looked up my Turkish Airlines booking online today, and was informed that the booking had been cancelled. The same appeared on ebookers and viewtrip.

Contacted ebookers who said that Turkish Airlines had cancelled it, and that it was at the passengers (my) request. Sounded strange to me as all I have done is request seats and a change of flights due to a schedule change (this was with ebookers though). The agent called Turkish Airlines who say the Oslo office cancelled the booking but they dont know why and that they will check again tomorrow.

Now the trip (OSL-IST-BKK) is next Saturday in C, less than a week away so I am a bit worried; not least because there is no availability anymore.

Do these mistakes happen from time to time? Any good explanations, or suggestions on what to do?

This is a holiday trip but due to work changing dates is not an option, and non-refundable hotel is already booked in Hua Hin...

Heard back from ebookers today: they cannot help since TK cancelled the booking :rolleyes:

Called TK who say the booking was cancelled because the schedule change was not confirmed by the travel agent. Not cancelled but made into an "open" booking, so I can change the flights for a fee... but no availability whatsoever for my travel period.

Called ebookers back who still say that the booking was cancelled on my request; but they are now confirming with TK.

What are my options here? As far as I can tell this is 100% the fault of ebookers, but they don't seem very keen on fixing their mistake at the moment.

Finally got through to an ebookers supervisor who say that they did confirm all the flight changes with the airline and that TK cancelled the booking in an "unusual way". He is now checking with TK once again...

Been on the phone for some time today, great way to spend the Sunday...

Read your plight, quite unusual. Hope everything gets confirmed soon and you are on your way to Asia soon. We will be going to Samui in May, cant wait

OK, so now it appears that neither TK nor ebookers is blaming me for the cancellation, but I will have to wait until tomorrow as they need to contact the GDS helpdesk to see "what actually happened to the booking"... :confused:

Still, feeling slightly more hopeful than earlier today :)
