California - PSP to ONT - drive time?

1030am flight out of ONT and returning rental car at the airport so I'd like to be at the airport around 800am on a Thursday. I have the option of staying in PSP the night before or at a hotel close to ONT the night before but prefer to stay in Palm Springs.

What is a good conservative estimate when I'd need to leave PSP to reach the airport by 800am?

Depends where in the Psp area
From Airport to Airport is 75 miles so about 1.5 hours drive without much traffic taking in account surface streets and lights.
If you are in Indio or the surrounding areas add in another 20/30 mins

Plus, consider that you will be negotiating morning drive-time traffic at the Ontario end. That can be a little brutal and slow. I'd want to start by 6:00 am or before, just in case.

Thanks - I'll be leaving from the Laquinta area. If I understand correctly, I should be able to leave 5:30am and make the OT airport by 8:00am?

LaQuinta borders Indio, pretty much the furthest area in the HUGE metro PS area away from Ontario
