Not as good as it's been in the past but by far the best fare I've seen from SAN in a long while.

Allowed 2 transfers each way

SAN-LAX-IAH-BWI-EWR-IAH-SAN
SAN-IAH-ORD-BWI-IAH-SFO-SAN

those are the best routings I've found so far on ita, may be possible to squeeze a few more miles out of it.

Availability looks pretty good at least until SEP which is as far as I've looked, may require a 1 night stay or a red-eye to get all the stops and miles.

(Similar fares available to AUS, SAT, ELP, MCO, STL but not nearly as many miles)

Also sporadic availability to MCI.

That's what I'm working on now actually, I got a SAN-SFO-CLE-MCI-IAH-SFO-SAN to price out for $220 on ita, trying to book it now. 3.6 cpm but I've never been to MCI and this includes a day and a half to explore.

You won't need a day and a half to explore Kansas City. And the airport is the most boring I've ever seen for a major US city.

Was 3 transfers on this route previously allowed and cut down to 2? This is a good deal even with 2 transfers thanks OP.

I disagree, Kansas City is an interesting city with a lot to see. Hell, a day and a half isn't enough to eat all the BBQ! Plus you can gamble, or go to very pleasant Lawrence, Kansas, or historic Independence, MO.

Good find, OP.

Thanks OP. Just booked one BWI-IAH-SAN-EWR-BWI same day return in May for $195ai (Saturday with red-eye return).
I had to call reservations to book it for me. United webpage was giving me errors every single time after pressing submit button.

Just booked bwi-ord-iah-san; san-lax-ewr-bwi on may 12 might want to look into that if you are trying to stretch your miles ~205$

a difference of 841 miles when you consider the 500 mile minimums.

I saw that, but unfortunately I have to be at the graduation in WV on the 13th :(
I'm flying on the 5th and 19th.

CLD-LAX-IAH-AUS-IAH-DEN-LAX-CLD for $208 leaving the night of 04MAY and returning the night of 05MAY. Works out to 5102 miles, 4.1 cpm. Probably have to go through CLD to get any extra segments - when I tried using SAN I could only connect through either LAX or IAH in each direction, additional stops drove up the price.

April 17 BWI-SAN is $193 one stop in LAX outbound and one stop in DEN or SFO on the return...3.6cpm if you go thru SFO on the return. i'd go if i wasn't already going to be in SMF that week.

Try using the multiple destination search. Or, you could try booking through a third party (Priceline, for example).

Priceline only gives you 5 seg for multi-city and won't always let you do the short connection.

Need some attempt before you reach that.:D

Booked 1 trip for 5/3-5/5 at $197 and was in middle of booking 2nd trip when price doubled. Lowest fare now seems to be $398; more than 6cpm.
