Chicago - First time in ORD -- any good pizza places?View Full Version : First time in ORD -- any good pizza places? anaggie Mar 22, 12, 10:19 am Flying into ORD on AA and flying out approx 3 hrs later on CX to HKG. This is the my first time in ORD was wondering if there are any good pizza places to eat at? Thanks Sweet Willie Mar 22, 12, 6:58 pm sorry, no, mediocre pizza at best. glg Mar 22, 12, 7:21 pm 3 hours to an international is probably not quite enough time to leave either. There's Giordano's an Higgins/River and Gino's East at Higgins/Cumberland, but in both cases, it takes some time. Thanks If you just want "pizza," there is a Reggio's in the AA terminal, an outpost of a South Side pizza joint and Puck's, which has a decent Margarita pizza. But, if you want a good representation of Chicago deep dish pizza, as indicated above, you're out of luck. If you want something cheap and tasty, go to Burrito Beach - very fresh food. I love their skirt steak quesadilla. I always get it with a side of guacamole, which is also very good, not like so many places that spoil it with so much lemon that you can taste nothing else. If you want something a little more upscale (and Mexican), go to Rick Bayless' Tortas Fronteras, across the aisle from the food court with Burrito Beach and Reggio's. anaggie Mar 23, 12, 10:35 am If you just want "pizza," there is a Reggio's in the AA terminal, an outpost of a South Side pizza joint and Puck's, which has a decent Margarita pizza. One strong suggestion, ask for a new one made instead of purchasing one already sitting out. If so, it's probably not much better than Reggio's. toomanybooks Mar 29, 12, 5:43 am If you want something a little more upscale (and Mexican), go to Rick Bayless' Tortas Fronteras, across the aisle from the food court with Burrito Beach and Reggio's. That's what I would do. Sweet Willie Apr 5, 12, 8:37 am Since you'll be departing out of T5, there's a Pizzeria Uno's located on the departures level. The Pizzeria Uno franchise locations are to be avoided at all costs, horrible quality. Rick Bayless' Tortas Fronteras in Terminal 1 & 3 are the way to go at ORD IMO. |
