1) I have an international flight (to DXB via GIG) on EK leaving EZE at 2130 on Sat 24th. How early before the flight do I need to arrive? I will check-in online but will need to collect my boarding pass at the airport. I have no status nor check-in luggage.
2) On another note... would anyone be kind enough to sponsor me into the EK lounge anywhere? Flying a ton of flights one after the other, would be grateful for a bit of respite!
Updated flight dates:
EK303 22/3 PVG-DXB 2300-0500
EK247 23/3 DXB-GIG 0710-1430
EK247 23/3 GIG-EZE 1617-1930
EK248 24/3 EZE-GIG 2130-0030
EK248 25/3 GIG-DXB 0206-2305
EK302 26/3 DXB-PVG 0310-1530
3) And lastly, if anyone would be free on Sat 24th to meet up for sightseeing or chow in BA, I would be delighted to have company! Best way to contact me will be via SMS to my phone +8613816461484 as I'm already on the road with no regular predictable Net access after the next couple of hours or so. Please help me out by including your phone number in the message as sometimes I see the message but can't get back to the sender's number! Alternatively email me at ellyse99@yahoo.com and hopefully I'll see it in time.

If you have no bags, even if you are flying in the back I think that 90 minutes prior is more than enough. Since you will check in online, I would suggest you print out your boarding pass if you can.
I would offer to meet you on Friday but I have a crazy day in the morning, then at 1530 I will be at work... if you have nothing better to do, you can come by my store in Palermo and we can have some coffee or a glass of wine if your up for it. We should be able to get you your boarding pass printed if you come visit.
Cheers,

I would disagree with the 90 minutes. It can take up to an hour for migraciones and security during the evening flight bank. Sometimes the line starts not far from the top of the escalator. Other times it is a near-breeze. The only thing that is predictable is the unreliability.
Not all of us have the luxury escort service with while-you-wait massage and flowing champagne towers that you are accustomed to :D

90 minutes is about right when you don't have lounge access.....EK won't allow you to miss your flight.
Although having time to spare getting to the airport is always advisable. That's one hell of a punishing itinerary....are you mad? :D

Flights (at least to N America) are very full at the moment, so I'd expect security and immigration to be on the slow side for the evening departure bank.
Are you sure you can print your boarding pass? If your have no status and are traveling in Y, checkin could take quite some time. I normally bank on an hour to get to the airport (more if the weather is bad), and two hours to go through checkin/security/immigration - and that's with elite status.
There are many things that can slow things down considerably (ignoring transit issues on the way to EZE). Some of the staff work for more than one airline so any delays can reverberate through the system. Staffing numbers at security and immigration (and sometimes deliberate go-slows) can drastically effect how fast those lines move. With over 20 flights leaving Terminal A between 20:00 and midnight, full flights and under-staffing often leads to total chaos.

Heh heh, due to missed flight connections my entire itinerary has been pushed back one full day. Gaucho, would you still be free on Sat 24th instead? Where are you in Palermo? I'm staying at the Polo Suites by Hollywood, is that near where you are? Drop me a PM and I'll try to get to it ASAP.

Saturday is OK for you to visit, but I will be at the store from 1230 until 1500hs only... sorry for the lack of flexibility but Saturday is a complicated day for me.

Hi Gaucho! Sorry, I had no idea where your store is :( wish I did before but I don't frequent this board at all so I don't know if you've mentioned it elsewhere before!
In addition, I was totally unable to get Net access either on my phone (GPRS roaming, worked in DXB and GIG but surprisingly not anywhere in Argentina) nor on my laptop wifi when I finally got to the hotel at almost midnight. Frustrating! Oh well, maybe I'll get back there someday and see you and all the places that I missed this time round.

Couldn't we just use the Admiral's Club (with a free pass)? Isn't that closer to the gates EK will use --- or do they now use the same terminal as Aerolineas?
