Luxury Hotels - How to a find a genuine Virtuoso agent?

Hi all,

How can I verify a Virtuoso agent is genuine before I hand over my credit card details?

How did you find this agent? Are you concerned when you give your credit card to the waiter at a restaurant? Or when you give your card to the person at the front desk when you check in?

You should be able to google search the advisor to ensure that they are who they say they are. Second, you can always call Virtuoso to verify.

You could use mine, who I highly recommend.

I think this thread will do better in the luxury hotel forum where Virtuoso agents and Virtuoso benefits are a common topic. I'll move it along.

Luxury, MarshKing, DavidO and ABG are all well-regarded Virtuoso travel agents on FT.

If you´re talking about a different agent, I´d make sure you send your CC info to a professional e-mail address and not luxuri@travell.ru.:p

Didn't want to create a new thread for such a simple question but it remotely concerns virtuoso so I'll hijack this one !
I just got for my birthday a FS gift card (worldwide, not property-specific ) and I wanted to know if I could still book through a TA to get either FSPP or Virtuoso benefits while paying with this form of payment. And, if so, same for RC and MO giftcards ?

Yes.... The form of payment on a Virtuoso/FSPP booking is not important, unlike FHR. Happy Birthday ;)

I think many have their favorites, but suggest now that we have mentioned some of the Virtuoso agents posting here, we needn't continue boosting them.

The OP has previously asked a number of rather unusual (to me) security-related questions in other forums and unless someone has a new insight on the original question maybe this thread has run its course.
