Hi all!
I'm flying NZ2 LAX-LHR on the 30th. Booked in Y, and going to request a standby upgrade. Not too worried if it's an upgrade to PE or BP, just as long as I can escape the economy seat that is all the boss is willing to pay for.
Looking at availability on flightstats.com, BP seems to still have a few seats (can't see R availability), but PE is completely sold.
Based on everyone's experience, am I better off trying for a BP upgrade knowing that (so far) the cabin isn't full, or is it a better bet to try for a PE upgrade and cross my fingers that at least one seat in the cabin gets freed up by someone upgrading to the pointy end of the plane?
As I say, I'm not too worried which cabin I end up in. Just trying to move forward of row 34 a little. :)
