Does anyone know whether they serve a main meal in F after take-off from SIN or only before landing in NRT?
Not sure in F. but when I took midnight flt KIX--> SIN in C, I was given
the two options to have meals
(1) Just after the take off
(2) 2hrs before landing.
Or... should I ask (3) in the midst of the flt :D ??
So.. you're also highly likely asked the similar question.

Yes, correct. However, SQ isn't loading full blown meals for all flights... You can dine 'nothing' anytime you want...

If in F and flying from SIN you should go a bit earlier to the airport and have dinner at TPR. They got several meal choices (smaller portions but you can order multiple items) and have nice champagne too (Veuve La Grand Dame IIRC). Then onboard go to sleep and have breakfast before arrival in NRT. Just a thought.

Any time you like - and you should be asked before take-off (or straight after) when you want it. Most pax go to sleep straight away and either have no meal or wake for one before landing.

I have not taken the SIN-NRT flight, that said SIN is a location that offers "book the Cook" look on the web site. The flight is 6hr. 45 min I would venture to say you will get a meal. I would call SQ and ask. I was on an icn- SIN flight SQ 15 in F (6 hr15 min) We were served a supper menu. Not a full long distance menu.
As mentioned above the Singapore First lounge does have great dining. I had a night transit there and had a nice sit down dinner there and all I had to do on the next flight was to snooze and sip the Dom.
Do try the suites if you can.

Is the service still much superior on the NRT flight than on the KIX one?
Or is it only so bad on KIX for Y and C? I was appalled by the total lack of offerings in that route and would not take it again. At least not on SQ.

Yes you can. I've done it in R class a few years back. The main meal was to served as breakfast - and I asked to have it after takeoff and the refreshment served instead for breakfast.
