Hi all,
I'm flying MAD-ORD this coming Sunday, 3/25, booked as a codeshare on AA. I understand that IB's new policy is to not assign any seating in advance for AA codeshares, or something to that effect, so I called the IB US reservations number to try and obtain my IB record locator for OLCI. The agent said that he couldn't find my IB record locator, and told me to do OLCI on AA.com with my AA record locator. Has anyone had any experience doing this? I'm a little doubtful it will work, since in my previous experiences with codeshares, you always do check-in (regardless of online vs. at the airport) with the operating carrier.
