Hi

Does Thai Airways still sell an ASEAN airpass? (VAAP)? I can find a link on their website from 2009-10 but not more recently than that.

Ms testleper and I are going to Southeast Asia this summer and are looking for an economical way to get around the region whilst still enjoying the Star Alliance lounges etc.

Thanks

I can't see the promotion you refer to.

Right now, these promotions are available (http://www.thaiairways.com/offers/special-fare-promotions/en/special-fare-promotions.htm) ex BKK

At the moment the THAI 52nd anniversary fare promotion (http://www.thaiairways.com/offers/special-fare-promotions/en/thai_52nd.htm) is in effect.

(ex-tax prices shown from left to right are are W, V and J class).

I think they still do but don't advertise it so much. My understanding is that the Asean Pass is issued in conjunction with an inbound international flight on one of the participating airlines, so if TG is your choice for that intl flight, give them a call and ask. With TG, lots of stuff that's seemingly unavailable (unfindable) if you consult their website, becomes magically available when you call.

Do your due diligence though, especially for the routes you plan to take. I've never found the Asean Pass to be that competitive.
