Hi There,

My wife and I have circa 280K QF points and 220 AA miles and quite a few BA miles between us.

We're looking to get from LON-PER (or any Australian city) via Japan (with a stopover) in some fashion or other, ideally in F (must be F for the Europe - Asia part) .

This isn't a question of availability, more how can we get to NRT (or any other Japanese city) and have a stopover using the points most efficiently.

We've looked at partner flights oneway using QF points - we'll need a few more points or to pay Asia to Australia, but that's ok.

We've also looked at oneway using AA miles - 80K if we don't stop, 70K (F) + 45K (J) if we do.

We've looked at combos but can't come up with anything too good.

I was hoping that we might be missing something obvious - can anyone help with some inspiration please?

Thanks,

Marcus.

the absolute best use of 220k aa miles (in my opinion) is to travel up to 50,000miles on a oneworld business class award... http://www.aa.com/i18n/disclaimers/oneworld_awards.jsp

16 flights, tons of stopovers, super flexible, 1 year to do it all... :)
