Hi,

My wife will be traveling without me, and I wonder if I can still make a reservation for her through my gold account. Has anyone done this before? It would be great if someone can tell me a good PC or anything for SLC minivan/full-size SUV (5/14-18) :) I have only got US airways/Asiana Diamond CDP.

Also, she will be traveling with her parents and in this case I wonder there will be any additional charge for adding drivers (her mom).

I guess my final question is for how long my gold membership will be valid? I guess I became a gold member with the trick I learned here :) (us airways or something I forgot) It's been a while but I still seem to be a gold member. Any thoughts?

Always thank you guys for great information!

I would assume that when you use #1Gold, the driver's license shown at the exit must be the one on the account, that is, yours.

Sign her up for Gold for free on Hertz.com

Membership is valid for a year, but I don't think they'll charge you or cancel it unless you have fewer than some small number of rentals (4?) per year, and maybe not even then.

Oh is it free now? I remember it wasn't so I had to do something to get it for free :D Or does she need to do it through me?

I just figured the fee is waived until 8/31. Is there a way to merge the points between me and my wife?

Gold has been available for free for a long time, but you had to find a link offering it, as they still charge for it if you don't know where to find it for free.

See this thread on transferring points.
