I am trying to book a *Award using KF miles, have some doubts about allowed routing.

Which of the below routes is a valid europe - swp routing

FRA-KIX-NRT-SIN-SYD

ZRH-DEL-SIN-SYD

I managed to book FRA-MUC-NRT-SIN-SYD taxes were a bit on the higher side ~900 SGD.

Oddly, Syd call centre said this was an illegal routing (too much backtracking), then I called the sin call centre who booked it straight away.
