Singapore - Shangri-la sentosa family rate- BB - $500 SGD per night- ouch!

wanting to spend 4 nights with 2 kids at sentosa shangri-la which has great reviews..searched lots of websites- best rate is about 500 SGD per night poolview family room with breakfast (ouch)...approached hotel directly who would not even match the rate (want 550 pn)...anyone seen any deals/have promo codes for shangri-la??

o la la, the Shangri La, of course this old darling of the Island went through a huge face lift, anf is very good now, actually always was, but the Island changed a couple of years ago, and so did this hotel. However at 350 Aussie dollars fo the husband and two kiddies it is good value, the Shangri la put on the best breakfast and if they do one thing right, that is they look after the kids all day.

Check out the Hard Rock Hotel as well. It's nothing like other hotels that make up the HR chain, in Singapore it's more of a family & kids place than anything else. The kids will love the pools there (no pool bar - don't believe the ads showing people with drinks in the water). It really is a family place.
