Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - Comfort Class from IST-JFK on TK 773

I am taking TK Comfort Class from IST-JFK for the first time. The reviews I have read look pretty good. One thing eludes me, however. I see the pitch listed on seatguru, but I cannot find how good the recline is --and perhaps a comparison. I'm quite tall at 6'5",
How does TK Comfort recline stack up to the OLD biz recliners on LH or UA. I know it won't be as much b/c TK Comfort is not a C product, but how close is it on the recline? And on the service?
Many thanks for any advice!

Try to get a bulkhead seat as there is enough space to put a carry-on in front of you, effectively increasing the height of the footrest. You'll be very comfortable.

Appreciate the tip. One question -- how much legroom is there on the bulkhead? With standard seats, I will have a reasonably amount of extra space under the seat in front of me.
Do you recall if there is the same stretch-out legroom in the bulkhead as the "all-in" regular space (to include the usable underseat area)? I am 6'5", so even a small loss can really cramp my style.
Thanks for any thoughts!

Quick question, what's the aircraft rotation for TK 11/12? TK just loaded April 2013 flights and it seems like it switches to 777. While nothing is concrete, what periods are TK 011/012 flying with 777 usually during the year?

We share same height. The advantage of bulkhead is if you have window seat you can get out to the aisle without any hassle. For sleeping I found a regular seat better, you can put your feet up easier. The downside of the regular seat is if the person in front of you reclines completely, getting out is not that easy...
I prefer the normal seats vs bulkhead...

Did you reserve your bulkhead seat in advance ?
I've tried but it seems that all the bullhead seats are blocked and it's the same

Had experience been moved out of bulkhead seat by TK after seat reservation. I assumed probably due to someone requests basinet so some risks to be moved from the bulkhead seat and hopefully still good choices when it happens.

I am about to book 5 tickets for this for the JFK-IST route. Has anyone actually flown it - and is it good? I am usually a C traveller, but C on this flight was much much more, and the other lines AC/Austrian were about $3500 and the route with connections is much longer. I am Star gold so the lounge, check-in, etc. wont be a problem.
Thanks,
Bob

Back to the OP's original question I am also 6ft 5" and having taken the IST-LAX flight four times now I am pleased to confirm this flight is absolutely fine for us POH :D.
Nearest seat comparison is probably the old UA J cradle seat. It has a similar feeling of spaciousness but with less recline. I actually prefer it to the current awful LH J seat.
Finally I too, would pick an aisle seat in a regular row rather than risk a bulkhead seat with possible galley noise/light, adjacent screamer seats etc..

I don't know the 739 J seat but it's the same seat as A321 J seat.
