Other European Frequent Flyer Programs - Dublin - planespotting

Is there anywhere good to walk (not drive!) to near Dublin airport to do some planespotting (directions?)? I'll have some time to kill on Sunday after saying goodbye to my partner, figured it could be a good way to spend an hour or two if the weather is decent.

The short answer is no. Walking would take 25 mins out to the Perimeter Road. Rain is expected this weekend so even if its dry when you set off you could end up being drenched.
