CommunityBuzz! - CHICAGO (Oak Park) - Poor Phil's Beer, Oyster & Shrimp Do - Thurs April 5

Well thanks to toomanybooks and his eternal quest for good beer, one of the many many beer lists this man is on ;) suggested that there are some great and rare beers from Firestone Walker (on draft Double Jack and
Anniversary 15, plus Nectar Ale's Humboldt Hemp Brown Ale. Pale 31
and Double Barrel Ale. They will also feature an unfiltered, 100%
barrel fermented version of the Double Barrel Ale on the cask engine.)

Like the above beer isn't enough to pull one to go, before 6pm (yes I know some can't make it before 6), but before 6pm Shrimp & Oysters are $0.50 apiece. Woo-hoo! www.poorphils.com/oyster.html

It promises to be a great night at a great craft bar and fresh seafood.

Poor Phil's is just a block south of the Harlem termination point for the Green Line stop for those who plan on enjoying more than one or two of these great beers! Another public transporation option is Metra, thanks to drew47 for pointing out that the Oak Park Green Line stop is the same stop as Metra UP-W.

If you are coming from downtown, consider taking the Metra UP-W instead of the El. They share the same station and the Metra is faster and cleaner.

If you can't find any taker (or giver), just take the Metra to Oak Park. It's fast and drops you a few blocks away from the place.
