Club Carlson - Cash + Points: Are the points refundable if cancelled?

This may be a dumb question, but I just wanted to make sure. If I make a cash+points reservation and then cancel well before the stay, I get the points back, correct? How long does it normally take for the points to come back to the account?

I'm planning on staying 2 nights in SF in June, and the cash+points rate for the Radisson Fisherman's Wharf seems like a decent deal. However, most of the ratings for the property are not that great, so I'd like to hold out for something better, but don't want to miss out on the opportunity to use my CC points.

If I make a cash+points reservation and then cancel well before the stay, I get the points back, correct?

Yes, you get the points back pretty much right away. Fwiw, the last time I cancelled a cash+points reservation, I saw the points back in my account almost instantly.

I stayed at this Radisson a few years ago and if you're visiting that area in general (FW), the location cannot be beat. You can literally walk to the Wharf and take the tram (or even walk) to Chinatown and other sights. While I didn't have any "status" with CC back in the day, I fairly enjoyed my stay there. That said, parking is pretty steep and the lobby/pool area was a mad house with kids running all over the place.

If I keep the room, maybe I'll even get something out of my Gold Status (besides a few extra points).

You get back the points instantly to your account, as well as you get points for your points and cash reservation .
