Finnair Plus - Finnair gift

Amidst all the complaints in this thread about Finnair (most of it justified), I do appreciate the gifts they give occassionally to their Platinum members, even if this is of course also far from unique. I just received the option to choose between some gifts; vase, some jewellery, classic globe, 4 upgrade euro vouchers, 40 000 bonus points or 40 000 points for charity.

Must be a domestic only promotion? Or are you way over the threshold for plat? Can't say they ever offered me any such gifts.

I had those gifts a few times, everytime I could choose between some products out of the shop and 100K+ points. Last year alone way more then 200K points. If flown around 500K km during that period.

No domestic flights at all, only flights between Germany and Asia, all flights booked in J or Z.

My wife who always fly with me in the same class, did not get any of this gifts.

I got it at 200K threshold during tracking period. Last year I got it too, but then I think it was at 300K threshold

OK, then it makes sense. From your initial post I was thinking it was random. But there is some kind of threshold for it, even if it changes from year to year and of course is undocumented and non-binding for AY.
I usually stop flying AY as soon as I get above the 150k-mark, so I would not be selected for any such give-aways.
