Other Hotel Programs - Omni Berkshire Place, NYC TOP OF THE LINE

just love this hotel, i have just returned from spending a long weekend at the Omni Berkshire Place in NYC...it has been years since I stayed there and I was so impressed with everything from the minute I walked it ...A totally classy and sophisticated hotel. Rooms have been renovated in last couple years, the hotel staff totally impressive from the doormen all the way to the General manager...front desk staff were great and so was the concierge etc

LOVE this place from start to finish and had a wonderful welcome in my room as I had mentioned my birthday to the central reservations agent....and the GM had left me a note, balloons and cake and jelly bellies and a bottle of panna water...no expense was spared and i even used a discounted room rate.

this is one of the best stays i have had in nyc in a long time and I have stayed at most of the best hotels in NYC over the years...I have stayed in a a lot of 4 and 5 star hotels...not too many made an impression like the Omni Berkshire Place...cannot wait to go back^:confused::p

And I have had one or two experiences there, both of them lousy, although admittedly they were not very recent since I wouldn't go back.

This is an average upscale hotel with below average service, not a luxury hotel at all IMO.

Guess I have a slight difference of opinion with the OP!

It is a fantastic place and they really take care of repeat customers. It's old style understated good service. Not nouveau imitation of what some places thing upscale would be.

As I noted, for me the service was so understated it was non-existent. Being put in a room directly under the gym on my last stay (I finally figured out that was what the thumping and pounding all day from above was from) was pretty much the final straw.
