KLM Flying Dutchman - Seating Choices on KLM.com "Manage My Booking"

When am I able to pick seats on "Manage my Booking" on KLM.com? I used my Delta Skymiles to book a flight to Asia, but the legs ex-Amsterdam are on KLM & I was given a KLM booking code. I thought it was 90 days out when you could choose seats & the 90-day period began yesterday, but I'm still seeing the same "Seat #: Not Available" stuff.

Anyone know when KLM.com usually lets you pick seats? I remember doing this last year on my 777 AMS-JFK flight.

Should be at T-90 but the sites have some issues. Try from a different browser and clear your cookies first.

Hmmm. Could it be that it has to be T-90 days for BOTH sets of flights? As in, I won't be able to pick anything for the ingoing flight if the outgoing flight is still more than 3 months away?

Is that a possibility? Or have people been able to pick seats while the outgoing flight was still 90+ days away?

The date of the outbound shouldn't matter for selecting seats on the inbound.

Looks like I can finally select my seats for the ingoing flight. It's 1 AM March 15 & I can do it! Looks like it's more like T-86 days rather than T-90 days. Good to know!

If it's not KL metal, you can try via the company on which you fly. I did that for flight bought on KL, but operated on DL. They immediatly got me the seats i wanted (I used twitter to contact them, very friendly and fast)

Are you by any chance on a DL ticket? I had a similar issue, where I booked a DL code-share on KL metal. I could not chance the KLM legs on the KLM site, but I was able to change the DL portion of the itinerary on the KLM site. On delta.com I can change all legs, but changes made there do not propagate to the KLM show my booking info.

after calling it got sorted out, it seems that because changes had occurred in the flight schedule they had to confirm this with me before i was allowed to make any changes....don't see the point, if this is their way of contacting me to inform me about changes it's best not to try understand their logic
