Didn't see the thread yet. Boeing got illegal $5billion dollar subsidies. This is not acceptable for the behavior. They could get big fined from DOT or FAA. This is violation of the FAA or DOJ rules. No one ever taking the money from Airbus or something else like that.

Note that it says Airbus did it worse.

Note that it says Airbus did it worse. Also note that it doesn't mean a damn thing; both Boeing and EADS will continue to receive "subsidies".

Boeing cannot be fined by the DOT or the FAA and this is not in violation of either FAA or DOJ rules.
Those are all American government agencies and Boeing got the subsidies from the American government. The government is not about to start fining itself.

There is so much wrong with this paragraph I don't know where to begin. I can't understand what you mean by "No one ever taking the money from Airbus or something else like that", but the thrust of the thread really changes by omission. Your title, "WTO says Boeing got illegal $5bn subsidies" is somewhat biased when the article's opening paragraph is actually, "The World Trade Organization has ruled that US planemaker Boeing received $US5.3 billion ($A5.04 billion) in illegal government subsidies over a quarter of a century, far less than what arch-rival Airbus received according to an earlier finding."
The news here is not that Boeing received subsidies (duh. Boeing and Airbus receive subsidies. No story there.) Actually the story is that Boeing received far less in subsidies than their rivals would have liked to implicate them in.
