Europe - Custom stamps for tax refund w/ self-printed boarding pass?

I will be heading to Germany in a month and I will be doing a bit of shopping.

However, I will be flying from HAM to FRA with LH, and FRA-HKG with SQ.
I have asked LH and they allow a through check in my bags to HKG, but they wouldn't be able to print the SQ FRA-HKG boarding pass. Meaning if I have to get my custom stamps, it has to done in HAM.

So my questions are,
1) I am able to self print a FRA-HKG boarding pass, but will the custom accept it?
2) if not, without the FRA-HKG boarding pass, will I be able to obtain custom stamp at HAM for the tax refund?

1) No problem at all with self printed boarding passess. I've used mobile phone boarding passess as well without problem.

2) If LH are willing to through check the hold baggage, then you should have no problem getting it stamped. I'd bring a print out of your booking, etc.

Note: If you will be carying the items in hand baggage, then it should be stamped at your personal point of departure in FRA.

Note 2: I'm not sure how German authorities handle goods that are a mix of hold and hand baggage and on the same form. As a result, if they will be exported as a mix of hold and hand luggage you might want to get them on separate refund forms. Although obvioulsy this dublicates the refund fees.

Obvioulsy you need to get the form stamped prior to checking the bag in.
And you need refund forms, not just till recipts. Not all stores participate in the refund schemes.

Assume you knew this, but worth posting again as FT has many people who read the threads, etc.
