Qatar Airways Privilege Club - Trip shown as fully booked on QR.com, but not Kayak and Expedia

Hi all.

I have to go from PLZ-OSL (strictly in Y) from 12-15 April (exact dates, +-1 day not possible), and my first choice would be QR, but while trying to book on the QR website i get a fully booked/unavailable message, for the outbound flight, however, when I try to book the same flights on kayak and subsequently expedia I have no problem booking. Who should I trust, and what are my options if I make the booking on Expedia knowing the flight might be full? Will I get a refund, or flight change or is there an option of denied boarding? My reasons for choosing QR is price (almost half the price than that of competitors) and I will make Silver by July due to other upcoming flights on that carrier.

Hi, since Qatar airways does not operate a direct flight from Port Elizabeth and there is no add-on fare on the web site. That is why you will get the unavailable message. If you wish to travel from PLZ-OSL with Qatar airways, i do recommend you to contact the reservation office in Johannesburg to calculate the fare for you.

Yes, I am fully aware QR do not fly to PLZ, and I should have mentioned in my first post that I am not searching for flights from PLZ, but strictly from CPT/JNB. I'll either drive or take an earlier flight to CPT/JNB. I always book this way as it is a lot cheaper than booking anything from PLZ.
I did a search now and I can still book JNB-OSL on expedia, but not on qr.com. Qr.com has availability only on 11 March, while Expedia has availability on 12 March, which is the day I need. Weird, huh?
I prefer to make the booking online, as I have been in contact with the JNB call center before, and was not too happy with them.

Well, I just made the booking and payment through an external site, and could immediately choose my seat etc on the QR website, and funny enough there are plenty of seats available on all flights. Strange that it comes out as fully booked/unavailable on the QR website. I got PLZ-OSL return for USD 1173, which I would consider quite affordable. Even got K and M class tickets, so quite good earnings for that price.

Qatar airways web site will permit to booking for any flight more than 24hours before the departure. maybe the reason why.
