Wyndham Rewards - Did Wyndham play a trick on the winter promotion?

I completed two stays in winter promotion, first one earn air miles, second earn points, but wyndham reward refused to qualify to the winter promotion.

The reply from the service center is :

" There would need to be 2 stays under the same earning under the same earning preference in order to qualify for the bonus points."

But I looks up in the T&C, it did not mention that, only said the "member earn either points or miles depending on the earning preference at the 2nd, 4th and 6th stays."

So, as my understanding, I could qualify bonus of 10000 points for my earning of 2nd stays in points.

Anyone has the same situation with me?
I know the program always have the right of final explanations. But if it always happen, I will definitely go to other hotel loyalty program.

I agree with the Wyndham ruling since their system is likely set up to register the promo after two stays for either miles or points, but you did not maintain the same earning preference for the two stays.

Marriott has MegaBonus and MegaMiles. MegaBonus free night after two stays is not going to earn a free night if your first stay earning preference was miles and your second stay was points. You need a third stay with earning preference of points to earn the free night certificate.

I had a similiar issue last fall with the "earn $20 Visa Card with every two stays"(three $20 cards per account max). I only received one card after over six nights. After emailing customer service, Wyndham Rewards customer service replied telling me that my other stays were not classified as "qualified" due to the rate I paid per night. I ALSO NEVER RECEIVED ANY POINTS FOR MOST OF THOSE NIGHTS TOO! They said it was the decision of the owner/operator of the hotel we had stayed at. Funny thing is, we paid the same EVERY NIGHT of our almost month long stay and our nightly rate was ONLY A FEW DOLLARS CHEAPER THAN A "QUALIFIED" STAY. SO WATCH YOUR POINTS AFTER EACH STAY CAUSE APPARENTLY WYNDHAM REWARDS PICKS AND CHOOSES WHOM EVEN WILL RECEIVE POINTS! NEEDLESS TO SAY, WE NOW HAVE SWITCHED OUR LOYALTY TO ANOTHER CHAIN OF HOTELS!
