The Associated Press has an article about an air traffic control incident that "raises questions about whether employee rights are trumping safety at the Federal Aviation Administration":

Air controller involved in 2nd potential collision
Published March 09, 2012 (http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/03/09/controller-involved-in-2nd-potential-collision/)
According to the article, a previous mistake by the same controller "caused a regional airliner and a small plane to come within 300 feet of colliding with each other, the National Transportation Safety Board said in a report released in January".
The article cites an "FAA employee with knowledge of the incident". I wonder if leaking stuff like this is the only way they can get rid of the controller?
