Flying Blue (Air France, KLM, and Other Partners) - Booking award ticket one way online

I tried calling Air France but 800-237-2747 but can't seem to get past the recording.
I would like to book JFK to CDG Air France business using miles only on outbound segment and coach on return. I wanted to go in September but I waited too long (and don't want to use 100,000 miles vs 50,000) so I'm looking at early November. I've looked at all sites (BA, AA etc) Air France seems to have the lowest miles. I don't want to book Delta since I want business one way and I hate the 72 hour rule.
My questions are:
Can I book this online?
Is there another # for Air France?
I've read a lot of people saying the search engine (particularly Delta) is broken. Well, without speaking to a rep, how do you know if something better is not out there?

There is the ability to book Delta flights using the award section but one would hesitate to describe it as flawless, but if it works, then it works good if that helps.
I booked a delta flight one way x 3 persons on there last week for JFK to LAS on 2 April, it was straight forward, save for the fact it said there was availability on 1 April but there wasnt :D I had a flexible schedule so just took the first I could get then arranged hotels around the flight, as it saves a fair amount for just 12500 miles per person
Remember too if you want to talk to them the KLM number works and you get a better service for AF / Delta flights than you will with either AF or Delta :D

I'm assuming that you are booking with Flying Blue miles, given that you were calling Air France, and given that you posted your query under Flying Blue. Whether or not the Delta "search engine" is broken has no bearing on booking an Air France ticket with FB miles...
But yes, of course you can book this online. Just log into your Flying Blue account.

Yes, I am booking directly with Air France and will be using Flying Blue miles (transferred from Membership rewards). I'd rather not use Delta since you have to use miles both ways.
Regarding booking online - it seems I have to make 2 separate one way transactions - one outbound using Flying Blue miles for business and then inbound paying for coach. Unless I am missing something. I'd rather book it with a live person but that doesn't seem to be working.

You should be able to do that, just keep "All cabins" checked for your return trip and for the outbound flight, you should be able to select Economy / Business / First if available and keep "Economy" for the inbound flight.
