Any recent comments on either of these two properties. Searchfor last 6 months did not show anything.

Me too, I'm wondering about these two properties and would welcome any recent reviews.

Do they both have hi-speed Internet in the rooms?

Many thanks.

I can only comment on the Doubletree as I stayed there in January.

All in all I liked the place for a quick overnight. The lobby was a bit strange, but don't be discourgaed by that. The rooms are nice, the breakfast was free for me as Gold and I even got a welcome amenity in the room with water, some sweets and some fruit IIRC. They have a business-center with four PCs that are available free with high-speed Internet and a (working) printer. Parking was free also.

I would go back there no doubt if need should be.

Greetings - Dirk

I have stayed at the Hamption Inn JFK three times in the last 4 months. It is connected to the Holiday Inn via a walkway. The hotel is nice and clean. Its a high rise hotel and I have never ever heard any noise from outside or planes from JFK. The rooms are clean and modern. As a Diamond I have been given excellent service.

Pick up from the terminals is quick once you call. In the am they put out a nice spread for breakfast. If you want more the resturant in the Holiday Inn is pretty good. I have had both dinner and breakfast before. Overall you cant go wrong with the Hamption Inn JFK IMHO.

Many thanks for the helpful replies. I'll probably split my stays between the two properties, so then I'll see both sides myself. It sounds like both are fine, though. Good to know.

Thanks again.

There are also other threads on these properties, a search with "JFK" in this forum will yield other results as well. Hope this proves helpful.

I stayed at both properties in the last week, so now I can throw in my couple of pennies worth.

IMHO, the Hampton Inn is better. I found the Doubletree Club to be a bit noisy and limited dining (just the hotel restaurant). I liked the Hampton Inn because it's more of a high-rise building, nice double-glazed windows make the rooms MUCH quieter (along with the higher floors), and there is the big advantage of having the Holiday Inn right next door. The two hotels are connected by a walkway so you don't even have to go outside -- convenient when it was snowing this week! :-) The Holiday Inn has a nice pool (which the Doubletree doesn't) along with a couple of restaurants to choose from.

My one complaint about the Hampton Inn was that that don't have high speed Internet in the rooms yet, but they said it was coming in June or so.

Your mileage may vary, but this was my impression anyway. Happy trails!
