Other Asian, Australian and South Pacific Frequent Flyer Programs - Air Asia Document Verification in KUL/LCCT transit hall?

My wife is arriving AirAsia from Langkawi midday on Sunday and immediately boarding AirAsia to Singapore. Is there a document verification counter airside when she lands at LCCT. Her onward connection departs one hour from her scheduled arrival. I'm not sure that she can pull this off. Any suggestions? Asking AK is useless. I know. You get what you pay for!

The answer is yes and no.

When I flew TPE-KUL-SIN, there was a document check in the airside of the international half of the LCCT for transiting passengers, but that's Intl-Intl.

However, since Langkawi is a domestic flight, it will probably dump you off at the domestic half, which is not connected airside to the international half (makes sense, as the international airside is past customs, while the domestic side is not).

I'll add a twist though, and say that in my above trip, then SIN flight actually departed from the domestic terminal...I waited in the international terminal until 10 minutes before boarding, when an agent walked me across the tarmac to my plane (I was the only transit pax), so if it is "domestic to domestic," maybe.

Long story short, plan on there being no airside connection, and be pleased if there is.

Thank you for that bit of good information. Perhaps she has a chance. BTW, anyone know of she can "verify" at the gate (or even better) in Langkawi? She has all of her boarding passes.

Apparently the missus has ditched the LGK-KUL-SIN flights and is flying Langkawi-Singapore direct. At least when you eat an AirAsia ticket it's not that much money. There you go. Something nice about AirAsia.
