While searching for something else, I found this www.londontown.com (http://www.londontown.com) (LT) web site. Since I have a business trip to London at the end of November, I compared rates between Hilton.com and londontown and found that LT are cheaper than Hilton.
Before proceeding with booking through LT, I was wondering if points and stays were credited with HH? Anyone booked through LT and is willing to share their experiences?

I think there was a thread that mentioned in the past you did get points; with their new policy, don't know.

I see where rates on LT are: '... quoted exclusive of tax at 17.5%'.
Otherwise, a great web site with lots of info on London.

I think with the new policy you get to save money, not get stay / points / miles. Someone may prove me wrong here... but that's how I read the new policy.
It's also not unusual to add on the 17.5% VAT to LOndon properties - even the Hilton site adds it on to the quoted price (click on rate "details"), with the exception of the off-season offers like "Bed, Breakfast and Tax" - which can come in cheaper than a bed-only rate.
