Hong Kong and Macau - Leaving HKIA after sleeping overnight

I am flying into HKG at 11pm from BKK, and leaving the following afternoon on the same ticket. To avoid hotel costs, I wanted to sleep airside of HKG (so I can use a lounge for a shower) then exit HKG in the morning to spend the day outside before returning to catch my connection later in the afternoon.
How can I get back to the immigration area once I've cleared transit security?

If you are in transit, in an Airline lounge, get the lounge captain to organise the exit. Depending on your airline, your destination and the security requirements of the next country you are visiting, they may want you to clear checked luggage.

Have any suggestion on which *A lounge would be best to do this at? I wont have any checked luggage.
I'd probably shower at UA

A few years ago, I was in transit at HKG.
After a good shower at the RCC, I decided to enter HKG for a few minutes. :)
After asking a few airport employees, I was finally sent through the security line AGAINST THE FLOW OF OTHER PAX! Yes, "backwards" through the x-ray and magnetometer.
I was happy for the help.
So switching from the transit area to the arrival area is difficult without decent help.
Only in HKG!!!

I don't think that there is a Star Alliance lounge that opens overnight.
In order to enter the departure area from the arrival area, you must have your boarding pass for your departure flight. Security will not let you go through without a valid onward boarding pass.

Officially, they charge by hour so an overnight stay could get pricey (HK$600). There's a few locations at HKG and they do have nap chairs. I've only been in the Plaza Premium lounges using my Amex Plat so I have no idea whether they are really strict on time enforcement or not. If it means anything, I got some dirty looks from one of the staff when I stayed for about 3 hours in the YVR Domestic Plaza Premium lounge. They're pretty good lounges though.
Alternately, you could stay at one of the rest areas at HKG which have nap chairs. There is one right under the UC, which is convenient. The only issue here is you'd have to be extra wary of your belongings and you may have trouble finding a chair.

If you are going to pay why not enquire about rates for a day room at Marriot Sky city (?) Hotel, which is a short free shuttle ride away. they also have a free shuttle to a local outlet shopping mall and local MRT.

The PPL has napping chairs, not room.
