It would be double the miles (20k vs 10k). On the 767 noon flight (with lunch) is the hard and soft product sufficiently superior, or is this short intra-Asia flight more like shorthaul/domestic business class on other airlines?

Without *G status, I would say it's worthwhile.
If you have *G, the only real difference is the food and seat, and NRT-ICN is too short for it to be worth 10k miles extra over Y in my opinion. Unless, of course, the extra 10k means very little to you, in which case I guess you wouldn't need to debate the question anyway! :)

My thinking as well. Most depends on the value miles have for one. Personally, I enjoy business class even on short flights and often even pay (cash) for it on flights which are 60 minutes only.
