Canada - VIA Rail Trains 50/51 trip report

VIA has introduced the "Renaissance" service with 2/1 configuration & reserved seating on new departures from YOW to YYZ. For a limited period, they are offering a promo fare of $39 o/w or $88 rtn a/i.

Train left on time at 08:36 am and arrival @ Union Stn. was 15 minutes late at 13:15. Complimentary WIFI makes the time go quickly. Buy on board snacks are nothing special/most customers bring their own food.
One downside is the early (06:40) departure from Toronto to Ottawa (ugh!)

I was wondering how VIA was finding its way to those remote airports but I reconsidered what was meant - Toronto Union Station is YBZ and Ottawa staiton is XDS. Porter is the much better way (YTZ-YOW) in any case.
