KLM Flying Dutchman - SIN-DPS in Y - Chances of upgrade?

Hi all,

Flying SIN-DPS (Singapore-Bali) in a couple of weeks in Y.

Some quick reasoning tells me that this flight will be packed in C on the AMS-SIN leg, but I suppose all the C pax will disembark in SIN, leaving WBC empty on the SIN-DPS leg?

Anyone have experiences with upgrades on this leg? I'm FB Gold.

Thanks!

This part is generally right, but it also means that the Y cabin will also be less busy on the SIN-DPS leg than on the AMS-SIN leg, too (at least, I can't imagine KLM picking up enough local traffic in SIN to bring to DPS to offset the "loss" of passengers disembarking at SIN).

As you no doubt know, KLM don't upgrade just to fill up the WBC cabin - they only upgrade when there are no seats available in Y. I would therefore expect your chances of receiving an op-up on SIN-DPS to be almost zero, I'm afraid.

Ok got it.

It does actually seem like they fill up quite a bit as they are pricing themselves not far above LCCs like AirAsia and that bunch.

Thanks for your reply ;)
