Noob to silver and gold status been following the board for a while but I still have questions. I apologize for not knowing all the abbreviations but I like the general positive atmosphere here which are rarely found on message boards.
I am based in Thailand and I have done 30K miles this year and doing a trans pacific trip which boost it to 48K so I am 2K short of the new EBG under the new rules.
So I need info from you guys that have expertise.
To get to Gold will a domestic return trip on TG in business or first give 1200 miles each way? http://www.sas.dk/en/EuroBonus/Earn-points/airlines/Thai-Airways-Intl/ Its only 400 miles but if I book an non economy flight will I get 1200 miles each way putting me over the top? Or does the trip have to earn me at least 1200 under TG's rules before I get miles from the trip?
I will start to do at least 2 pan pacific and at least 3 trips to Europe each year and I prefer SK over TG on BKK-CPH and then it would be nice to have EBG since I usually have 3-5 hours in BKK so lounge access would be great but at the same time it will make me fly *A on trips to the US.
