Hi there

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere.

ANA miles seem to have an expiration date of 3 years unless you maintain some sort of high level status?

If I continue taking a flight on ANA each year(thus no status), will my miles accumulate after three years or will they all expire at 3 years?

Thanks!

If you're flying today, the miles you earn today will expire 3 years from today. If your next flight is next year, the miles you earn for that flight will expire 3 years after that date. That can make it hard to accumulate enough miles to do anything interesting.

For this sort of mile earning pattern, you may be better off crediting miles to an airline that will not let any of your miles expire so long as you have some earning or spending activity on the account within a specified period. That will allow you to accumulate miles gradually for long as you think the mileage program will last.

Thank you!

Seems like the 3 year expiration period is really short, considering the amount of miles needed for upgrades/awards.

Currently using Korean Air which is 10 years.

It is what it is.
