Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Expedia rewards vs Priceline rewards

I travel a lot (2-4 segments a week) for business.

I just go to priceline and book my flights. Both expedia and priceline have reward programs, but I am not quite sure whose is better?

Any insight on which one to accumulate all the points would help.

Thanks

Why not use the Penfed Amex card and earn 5% cashback on the airfare instead? Or get the Priceline rewards visa which offers 2% on everything and higher returns on priceline purchases.

You can combine either of the above cards with Ebates for another 2% cashback on Priceline purchases.

Thanks for your response, Dr.

I use chase sapphire preferred visa to get 2 points + big crumbs to get $3.5 cashback per ticket. I will into AMEX - thanks!

But I also see that both Expedia and Priceline have some rewards program of their own, so I was wondering whether there are more benefits I may be able to get. Any idea?

Are you using priceline to bid on flights/hotel or using them as a straightforward travel agent?

If you're bidding then I'd stay with priceline since you can get fantastic deals there. If you're using them as a travel agent then I'd go with Expedia since their support and functionality is better imho.

AFAIK, you don't get Expedia points for purchasing airline tickets only. Flights must be bundled with hotel to get points.
