Other Car Rental Programs (ie. Alamo, Enterprise) - Anyone know if Europcar requires CDW in Israel?

I have a credit card (Citibank World MC) that covers CDW in Israel, and I have a letter of coverage stating that explicitly. In the past this has allowed me to rent cars from certain companies without buying CDW. Europcar has the best rate (by far) I have found for my rental out of TLV, but the nasty person I spoke to at the agency insisted that CDW is mandatory. Anyone have any experience with declining CDW on Europcar rentals in Israel?

Get in writing what documentation Europcar will require to allow you to decline CDW based on your Master Card coverage.

Last year Europcar Argentina (SLA) insisted that I pay CDW despite my VISA card documentation showing that I was covered under the subject credit card.

This year, Europcar was prompt in responding to my email requesting clarification of their CDW policy for a pending rental in Chile.

They confirmed that they would accept an internet printout as documentation of VISA CDW coverage but Europcar would block the entire value of the car on my credit card if I declined CDW. Ultimately, I had to cancel my trip and cannot confirm if they would have accepted my credit card coverage
