I am not sure if i am posting to a right place, but that seems to be a forum for discussing fares, although my question is not related to bonus miles, it is about fares alone...

I wonder if may be some one could give a hint if sales periods for lets say Qatar, Emirates and Air-china, economy class, are already over and i should grab the best options those offer or i should wait? I need a one way ticket from Milan to Singapore in December and i need a round one from Singapore to Milan and back in august - September... the best option seems to be Qatar, but i am not very informed if it is wise to buy a ticket now, i hope for any kind of suggestions, thank you!

Actually MR Discussion forum isn't the best place for your query since it doesn't deal with mileage runs but general airfare pricing.

Since you mention Qatar as being the best option you're seeing now I'll move your inquiry to that thread and wish you well finding answers.

Remember that returns always work out cheaper than oneways.
As with any air fare, there isn't a good time to buy... but the earliest is generally the best for fares. I think you will also find that fares from Europe will be cheaper than from Singapore. So plan wisely.

Guy Betsy , I understand the fact about one way usually be more expensive than round one, but what i would like to know is if Qatar now offers the best deal or will they have a discount period...

December this year...
Well they periodically have global sales, but not sure if it the window would extend out all the way to december if it were to be available next month for example.

What I can tell you is that a few months ago, someone found a flight from MXP to Sin at a very good price, somewhere around 300+ eur on QR.com

I did buy my ticked almost a month ago, and since then price went first up, but now it is down by 10% or even more, so everyone who is potentially interested - at least Milan to Singapore for December is now much cheaper... so may be you should check your destinations as well. what was 468 euro one way ticket now is 434!

Just did a random check on OSL-DXB in May. Oneway comes out NOK 1100 more than rt! And QR usualy run their offers in different countries independently. So you just have to decide on your own intuition.
