Florida - Fernandina/amelia island restaurants

Spending March 11-17 in Fernandina Beach (whilst my wife hones her watercolor skills), I'm looking for FTer input of places to have lunch and dinner (aside from the DRs of luxury hotels). Trip Adviser is more than ambiguous re:local recommendations, and I'll be looking elsewhere, but there's bound to be an FTExpert with opinions.

Try Barbara Jeans - they are known for their crab cakes and jalapeno cornbread.

I'm sorry I missed this thread, am more of an occasional FT lurker and never dreamed my little town would be a topic here.
OP, I hope you and your wife had a good time, and for you and anyone else considering a visit here, try Merge, Kelley's Courtyard, Arte's, Joe's Bistro, Les Clos or 29 South for dinner, Lulu's for brunch, T-ray's or Bright Mornings for breakfast/lunch.
Stay away from The Crab Shack or Pompeo's.
