India-based Airlines - 9w 354, DEL-BOM Upgraded to 322 from 738?

Checked in for DEL-BOM on 9w 354 due in another hour and at the cehck in kiosk noticed a bigger aircraft type. confirmed to be a 322.

Wonder if it is
a) in response to higher demand given issues with IT
b) something for the day
c) a permanent upgrade

interesting all the same. A pity that AI still has a seperate way of managing the erstwhile AI and IC flights else we would see a lot more widebodies in regular DEL-BOM service- not many since IC pulled out its 300s.

Often happens weekly (mostly on Tuesdays IIRC?) when the aircraft goes for maintenance to BOM.


I don't remember both the flight numbers, to and from BOM, but i think avm2806 has listed them in the past.

i think tuesdays is correct....i got this recently on a flight to bom....
