EL AL Matmid - which seat should I go for on the 763 in Economy?

Looks like i'm going to have to travel in Y on the 763 which I'm not looking forwards to!

Anyway, to make the journey a little easier I want to be sure to choose the right seat but there is very little information here or at all, and I've never done Economy on the 763 only the 762 which has a different configuration.

As a GL I can pretty much choose any seat at the moment but not sure which is best?

The blocked seats for GL/PL etc are 21 which is the first row of economy and a bulkhead, and then 45 and 46 which both seem to be exit rows and expect for the window seats in 46 being gone I have the choice of the others.

I imagine 46 is a better row judging by the fact that some GL/PL/TPL has already taken the window seats in this row?

Last week I took 21a.
I went to have a look a the exit and decided I had the better seat since the exit is near all the lavatories.

Was that on the 763? Did you happen to notice which of the exit rows is better? 45 or 46? and in regards to 21, how much extra legroom is there?

There was significantly more leg room.
I think that if in the middle there are 2 exit rows then they both have extra leg room but the first one has limited recline (like the 737-800).
I'm not sure about this.

I imagine 46 is a better rowIt is! It's slight further back from the lavatories and has better legroom, though like Houminer I prefer row 21 as while it may not have as much extra legroom, it's far quieter, plus you're faster off the plane.

In 2 weeks I have to fly to India...

Keep in mind that 21 is the line parents with child get seated.

I had a nightmare when I got 763 21a and a 5 month old baby with his mother next to me.

not quiet, not comfort, nothing.

45/46 will not have such in any case.

Ugh good luck. I just flew back TLV - LHR on the 763 - what a dump! Flew out on the 777 which was actually great, but the 763 plane MUST go! The overhead lockers kept opening, the plane looked so tatty, and smelt musty. I usually fly BA and gave El AL one shot. If I could guarantee a 777 I'd fly with them again but I'll never allow myself to fly on one of those El AL 763's again! To be fair the legroom wasnt too bad though.
