Other Asian, Australian and South Pacific Frequent Flyer Programs - How long to wait for Air Pacific "credit voucher"?

On Jan 24th, my husband & I were to fly from LAX to Nadi, Fiji on Air Pacific. We splurged on Business class tickets and are familiar with Air Pacific's usually high standard of service. Unfortunately the Air Pacific plane had engine problems so we were put up in a hotel in LA for the night and given 2 meal vouchers.....no problem there. However, when we finally boarded the plane the following evening, Jan 25th, we walked onto an Atlas Air chartered plane. It was very clear quite quickly that the level of service was below our expectations. Air Pacific acknowledged this early in the flight by passing out a printed sheet that stated "We are sorry that we are not able to offer you our normal levels of Fijian hospitality and on-board service. To make up for any disappointment, we would like to offer you a F$300 (US$172) voucher, good for travel on future Air Pacific flights."

So, we sent in our ticketing and a note asking for a more reasonable compensation being that we easily paid double what folks in economy class would have paid to fly on Air Pacific. Frankly, this doesn't seem an unreasonable request being as we fly Air Pacific 3-4 times a year.

My question is - what is a reasonable timeframe to have to wait for the "credit voucher" and were we being unreasonable with our request for an increase in our credit to begin with?

Many thanks from the community!

As your post pertains to Air Pacific, I am moving the thread to the South Pacific Forum. (Airlines) I have edited the title for the sake of clarity.
