For my month in Greece I have paid the flight and the hotel but am unsure how to budget. Am I taking cash? Do I take credit cards - ATM?
How much cash, how do I budget? Any suggestions?
Figure out what you want to spend each day in the following categories to name a few...
1) Meals
2) Sightseeing
3) Souveniers
4) Transportation

I haven't been to Greece, I can't give you good advice for that country. There is a website called Nomadic Matt that has 5 different budget levels of travel in Greece. His post is 2011 so it should be pretty current.

You will be able to use your ATM card and credit cards in Greece. There are plenty of threads on things like ATM fees, foreign exchange fees for credit cards, etc., so best not to get into a discussion of that here.
As for "how much do things cost" in Greece, they are more or less in line with prices in the US, if that's where you are coming from. Other countries in Western Europe can cost substantially more, but Greece is inexpensive in a European context. (The exception is for motor fuel, which is dramatically more expensive almost everywhere in Europe vs. the US.)
