Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles - Possible to upgrade from V Class to B/Y Class for UA Miles?

I have a trip tomorrow on TK. NYC to Delhi Roundtrip via IST.

I got a very cheap economy Class V ticket.

According to UA Dividend Miles, I will get 0 miles for this trip.

Is it possible to "upgrade" my ticket to B or Y class for full mileage credit?

I tried calling the 1-800 number. I literally could not understand one word the agent was saying.

First leg is tomorrow night from JFK. Any help would be appreciated.

Depends on where you bought the ticket. You have to go back to the original ticketing source, ie travel agent and you can then opt to buy up to a higher fare class. Yes the 1800 number might have routed you to Turkey for that.. try that again if you bought the ticket through their website. Ask for a Supervisor who might be able to help you. But having said that... from V class to B class fare, you'll be looking at more than a few bucks for the upgrade...
