Any recent stay reports from the Hilton Burbank?

Second hand, but my boss (a Diamond) stayed there twice in December and was quite pleased. Received upgrades both times and really liked the "Daily Grill" restaurant, attached to it.

I stayed there a couple of weeks ago in order to get the triple BA miles, double points, 500 points for paying with VISA, etc.
I was given an executive room which was very large and clean. The only problem was that a huge convention was staying there and there were people everywhere. Thankfully, it was an AA/Al-ANON group so there were no noisy parties!

There are no mini-bars in the rooms. You are given a breakfast voucher for use at the Daily Grill. My waiter let me use it as credit for a more expensive breakfast. Very good restaurant.

I definitely would ask for a room away from their convention center.

The Hilton Burbank is not a bad hotel. As a Diamond I have stayed there oh 20 times id say. It is a little run down but not bad. It is the closest hotel to BUR airport. I have not had any noise issues at all. As mentioned before the Capital grill has excellent food. The outdoor pool is nice but the workout room sucks.

Diamonds get upgraded to the executive floor which have nice rooms. Mine tend to always be a 2 room type suite. The pillows are all feather and let me tell you by far my fav in the US. Overall its a nice hotel never had an issue give it a try.

I stayed Sept. 30th and my travel agent booked a "suite".

It was awful. The bathroom hasn't been updated since at least 1985. The tub wasn't clean, the under part of the bathroom cabinet actually had mildew growing in it, there was hair in the sink (not my own) clogging the drain, and the fixtures were right out of a motel 6. I'm not using hyperbole here. It lacked any sort of amenity that a $200 "suite" should have.

I wish I still had my invoice; I'd share the room number so that you all could beware! I complained to the front desk staff the next morning and received a shrug and an apology.

I think I'll stick with Starwoods. Really a shame, since I have the Hilton AmEx and a ton of points. :(

Nothing special for this gold. Clean, quiet top-floor room, but dated interiors, 1960-style noisy stand-alone a/c, and no elite lounge on the ex. floor. What this property calls a "lounge", is a small room off the first floor with a sparse cont. bkfst. Found the desk staff unempowered but was impressed by higher mgt. Until it decides it wants to justify its classification as a full-service HH, I'll be looking elsewhere.

Stayed last week. Kinda dissappointing. No upgrade. No bottle of water or anything else in the room. The continental b-fast in the tiny "lounge" on the ground floor was OK, but I'm glad I got there before any more than 8 people showed up because it would have been packed.

I avoid this hotel; it's a travesty that they charge for parking (but they've zoned the whole neighborhood to keep you paying), there's NOTHING to do nearby, the bar/restaurant are dead, with IMHO poor food, and there's no executive lounge (they gave me breakfast in a little guestroom last time I was there, about a year ago, and pretended this was a lounge).

The immediate vicinity has nothing interesting in it, and LA is so full of decent stuff to do that it's ridiculous to pay nearly $200 to suffer this. I also dislike the pool setup, and agree that the bathrooms need updating. One man's opinion, and I can be swayed on the odd old occasion when I found an $89 room (about what I think it's worth), but I'd rather stay elsewhere.

Lots of better choices in the area than this Hilton. Free breakfast is a joke. The small room is always packed. Front desk knows about it but they don't do anything. I stay at the Hilton accross from Universal Studios. Nice Executive level, welcome gift for Diamonds and more restaurant choices nearby.
