Other Asian, Australian and South Pacific Frequent Flyer Programs - Earning miles with Hainan?

I may be flying HET-PEK with Hainan next month, and when checking their website I noticed that you're asked to fill in your frequent flyer information, and you may choose from virtually any airline in the world.
Is it possible to earn any miles other than those of HU's own Fortune Wings Club programme? And supposing the answer is "no", why should they ask for that???
Let us know if you receive other program points. good luck.

Because you are allowed to earn mileage on code-shared flights. I doubt a flight from HET-PEK has a codeshare agreement with a major carrier from the USA.
I don't think HU codeshares with anybody on the HET-PEK route. One of Air China's morning flights is a codeshare with UA but that doesn't help you out.
At any rate, it's not a great distance so not a lot of miles at stake.
HU is an airline we wish would find a home in an alliance, but there are serious political headwinds blowing in their faces, from other airline competitors in the region already in alliances. Perhaps on specific routes in the future, there may be some bilateral codesharing agreements with other airlines. It's possible they are collecting data from passengers to see what other foreign FFP's/airlines seem to be coming up more frequently, with the intent of focusing their potential targets for partners.
AA signed a codeshare aggreement with HU late last year. Although the deal was only approved recently, might not be in place before your trip.

I don't think you can get any miles other than HU's own program in this case.

The Codeshare must be for the particular flight. Even if they have a codeshare agreement, it does not mean that they have a code share agreement between HET - PEK.
You can earn miles on this trip for any other airline.

Thank you all for your replies. Just as I was going to buy the tickets, I've found out that the flight is no longer available on that Saturday! I'm pretty sure it can't be sold out, as every other equivalent flight with Air China is available.
I'll have to wait a bit longer to give Hainan a try... :(

anybody to provide advice on earning options on their BRU-PEK flight ? Miles & More does not list them as partner.

Have you looked at Airberlin or Etihad? I think Etihad will come later, still in talks. But airberlin might be able to collect miles on Hainan

Thanks, indeed at this time it appears AB is the only option

I don't think you can earn miles on any other airlines. AA has a codeshare and FFP agreement with HU, but I don't see HU as a parter on aa.com

Funny enough it was on Americanway Magazine since 01 April issue!
