Club Carlson - Points automatically being converted to airline partner?

I recently claimed back points for stays in Victoria Plaza and Radisson hotels for the last year. I received the emails telling me I had successfully been awarded the points.

However when I log in to club carlson I see my points have automatically been converted to executive club miles.

Why would this be? How long before the miles hit my executive club account?

Check your profile on Carlson Club. Chances are you are set to the miles preference. Points are automatically converted if you are set to miles.
