Korean Air Skypass - Ticket Itinerary and FF# with Invalid Name Match?

I got our reservation (not paid yet), but just noticed that one of the tickets has a Name Invalid message when they tried to add the SKYPASS # to the ticket.

The name on the ticket is their full name, but in the SKYPASS account, it has her First, Middle Initial, Last name. (When registering for SKYPASS, the full name was too long, so when talking to Korean Air, they said to just put middle initial).

The travel agency said to just call KA after we buy the tickets. But I thought I read that once you buy the tickets, you cannot add your SKYPASS number to the ticket? Also, another person on the same itinerary had the same name issue, but got his SKYPASS number on the ticket just fine (too long of a full name, so first, initial, last name in SKYPASS account).

The main reason is for seat assignments. We all want to be able to choose our seats ahead of time, and it requires SKYPASS to be on the reservation record. Though, if I login to my SKYPASS account on KE.com, I can see all our names on the itinerary, except hers. I would think that we should all be able to choose seats ahead of time anyways? (If so, then she can verify her SKYPASS is associated with the ticket at the airport counter when we check in).

Or, since we got our reservations (and KE sees it since I can login my SKYPASS account online), she should be able to get it straightened out before we buy the tickets?
